Job description

> Summary

Reporting to the Chief Financial Manager, you will calculate, prepare and process accounts receivable according to established procedures. You are responsible for recovering overdue accounts and bad checks. In addition, you will perform general accounting tasks.

 

> Key accountabilities

  • Collect customer accounts through courtesy calls and negotiate payment arrangements as needed; (large volume)
  • Billing and credit notes when required; send invoices;
  • Analyze credit for new customers and perform updates (credit inquiry);
  • Manage online portals on some clients’ websites for billing purposes;
  • Answer questions from clients and account representatives;
  • Manage and update the revenue collected in advance;
  • Accounting for cash receipts in the accounting system;
  • Prepare and send monthly statements to clients;
  • Participate in the end-of-month process;
  • Analyze from time to time the general ledger accounts;
  • Preparation of reports for the bank, for the different departments;
  • Assist in the preparation of audit files;
  • File the accounting records;
  • Support to the financial team.

Job requirements

> Qualifications and experience

  • College diploma in accounting or equivalent experience;
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in a similar position;

 

 

  • Excellent command of French and English, both spoken and written;
  • Advanced skills with the MS Office suite (mainly Excel) and knowledge of Microsoft AX an asset.

  • Very good analytical skills;
  • Good team spirit, positive attitude and creativity;
  • Results-oriented and rigorous, disciplined and autonomous;
  • Good organizational skills and able to work under pressure with daily deliverables;
  • Great attention to detail and capable of discretion;
  • Ability to solve problems.
