Echocardiography

Synapse Cardiovascular (Cardiology PACS) has everything physicians need to successfully complete echography exams. From adult to pediatric and fetal echography exams, it offers a highly specialized engineering software package that solves even the most complex calculations. It includes hundreds of possible measurements and calculations based on guidelines from the American Society of Echocardiography and the Inter-societal Commission for the Accreditation of Echocardiography Labs (ICAEL). Each preconfigured template features reporting profiles as well as clinical statements, measurements, and calculations. Furthermore, physicians can add embedded images, reporting requirements and their own comments for site-specific protocols. They can also configure their own defined macros for more efficient reporting. Synapse Cardiovascular provides pediatric clinicians with easier normal data measurements and evaluation. Synapse Cardiovascular offers a Pediatric Z-score Module (Pediatric Echo reporting: Boston Children’s Hospital Z-scores and Children’s Hospital of Michigan Z-scores; and Fetal Echo reporting: Boston Children’s Hospital Z-scores) to evaluate over 40 pediatric echography measurements, calculations and displays. The pediatric clinicians simply enter height and weight or age.

Cardiac Cath

Synapse Cardiovascular covers all bases when it comes to today’s Cath Lab. Developed using a cardiologist-directed design process, Synapse Cardiovascular optimizes workflow and enables rapid completion of detailed structural procedural reports. Synapse Cardiovascular increases productivity and accuracy with a diagram-driven graphical user interface, intuitive report preparation functions, and advanced image evaluation tools. Templates are pre-populated with lesion and device data. It integrates fully with third-party hemodynamic monitoring systems.

Nuclear Cardiology

Synapse Cardiovascular provides physicians with the most advanced technologies to analyze their findings. Therefore, Christie Innomed employs Corridor4DM, an innovative software application specially developed for the quantification and review of cardiac perfusion and function of nuclear cardiology SPECT studies. Corridor 4DM uses a foundation of algorithms developed at the University of Michigan to provide robust image displays; including 3D and 2D polar maps and short axis images. Structured reporting allows fast and accurate report creation.

Vascular Ultrasound

Synapse Cardiovascular takes vascular ultrasound studies to a higher level by offering a highly sophisticated engineering software package that solves even the most complex calculations. It includes hundreds of possible measurements and calculations that can modify, expand or group together to match physicians’ reports. It provides interactive diagrams with auto-interpretation and includes freehand drawing tools for annotations of vascular diagrams. Couple this with our completely customizable structured reporting capabilities to make vascular ultrasound exams more advanced, completely comprehensive, extraordinarily interactive, and incredibly efficient.

ECG/Stress/Holter/PFT/EEG/EMG Management

The Synapse Cardiovascular ECG Module (also sold as a standalone Epiphany Cardio Server) manages diagnostic test results from over 260 devices, 80 vendors in 23 diagnostic modalities. Physician’s access and edit studies via a standard web browser. With the Synapse Cardiovascular ECG module, creating finalized, signed ECGs, stress, Holter and other diagnostic test result reports is quicker and easier than ever.

Web-based
Synapse Cadiovascular utilizes secure internet protocols for clients’ download and installation. It also provides full viewing and reporting capabilities as LAN connections and user interface. DICOM images and SR data are received from the imaging device with no additional compression, utilizing remote reading mode and local caching.

Advanced Clinical Application
Invia 4DM-SPECT for Nuclear cardiology quantification, Pie CAAS for Cath coronary and left ventricular analysis, Philips QLAB for Philips Ultrasound advanced analysis and quantification.

IT Standards
Windows operating platforms, Synapse Cardiovascular utilizes a standard Microsoft SQL Server relational database as well as HL7 and DICOM imaging and SR protocols. Validated to operate in a virtual operating environment.

Integration
Synapse Cardiovascular offers an extensive portfolio of DICOM, Hemodynamic, ECG, and HIS interfaces (HL7), including ADT, Orders, Results-out and Billing. In addition, Synapse Cardiovascular has developed custom mechanisms to support the transfer of measurement data from legacy ultrasound systems. Synapse Cardiovascular is integrated with Synapse PACS for easy access to images and reports from either application, at any location.
