Deployment of phase 2 for the patient queuing system at the CLSC was a resounding success. The main objective was to reduce overall patient waiting time. Over the last few months, patients coming to the CLSC for blood work have already benefitted from a simplified, transparent and caring registration and waiting process. Now, thanks to the phase 2 implementation, all patient services offered by the CLSC are presented through Christie Innomed’s touch-screen kiosk, including all doctor appointments.

The staff at CLSC are extremely pleased that the overall waiting times, for all services have significantly decreased. Upon arrival, patients can scan their health card at the kiosk (pictured). The system will then identify patients and automatically register them in the appropriate queue, then guiding them to the waiting area where large screens display their position in the queue in real-time.  The result being the patient is in the right place, at the right time, with fewer administrative steps.

The CISSS de la Montérégie-Ouest also leverages the queuing system in other installations, such as the Hôpital du Suroit’s external clinics. Seven other CISSS and CIUSSS across Quebec use Christie Innomed’s solution, with high levels of satisfaction.

Christie Innomed would like to highlight the exceptional work done by the CISSS team in deploying the solution. Their effort has created, for both employees and patients, a more efficient, transparent and caring environment.
